Secretariat 1972-73 Exercise Saddle

This historic exercise saddle emanates from the personal collection of Meadow Stable exercise rider Jim Gaffney and was primarily worn by Secretariat during morning gallops at Belmont Park prior to the 1973 Triple Crown. The custom leather saddle was Gaffney’s most treasured possession and features his name hand-tooled on the right flap.
